About Me:

Imagination led by an uncompromising dream, breathes life into the lyrical sound of Tiffany Starr. Born in the small town of Lincoln, Massachusetts, Tiffany found at a young age that her writing talents were impressive, to say the least. She excelled quickly and was offered a rare opportunity to attend creative writing classes at Boston College, while still juggling her high school schedule. Comforted by a town of conservation land and winding roads, Tiffany Starr then moved to New York City to begin classes at New York University.

While studying Journalism, Mass Communications and English she began a freshman year internship with now Grammy award winners Kanye West and John Legend. It was then that she discovered her prolific way with words was matched by an enchanting ear for melodies. The combination of her knack for writing with an ever growing enthusiasm for music thus, began Tiffany Starr's thorough motivation to pursue a career in songwriting.

“As soon as I dreamed of being a songwriter, in my mind I was a songwriter,” Starr says.

With confidence, determination and drive, Tiffany Starr set out to turn a dream into a reality, forging a way to make music and writing, more than just a private hobby. While her talent was undeniable, it was by no means, easy for her to enter the elite writing community that comprised the music industry. As a South Asian female, Tiffany Starr had to break many stereotypes to prove herself, and establish a significant presence in mainstream music.

“You can't waste time when it comes to something creative, because there are too many people to prove wrong,” Starr says.

With further incentive to accomplish her goals, she took it upon herself to learn everything needed to successfully craft and place a record. Her business savvy knowledge of the inner workings of the industry, paired with an admirable sound, affirmed Tiffany Starr as the bright new element that the industry much needed.

Her music delivers a poetic charisma, which has been introduced to the world through her work with artists such as Danity Kane, Day 26, Donnie, Kat Deluna, Vanessa Hudgens and Diddy, himself, among many others. Truly blessed, she generates even further personal excitement when given the opportunity to work with new producers. Starr believes that working with talented producers, is what drives her to be an even better writer. She has collaborated with heavy hitters such as Diddy, Danjahandz (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake), Bryan Michael-Cox (Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige), Jim Jonsin (Lil Wayne, Pretty Ricky) and Soul Diggaz (Missy Elliot, Bow Wow, Omarion), just to name a few!

She nicknames her portfolio of songs “Journey of a Pisces,” as her work is a complete lyrical persona of life and its lessons. Determined to follow her destiny she currently works in New York City writing everything from R&B to Pop/Rock melodies. Her unrivaled sounds are paired with a contagious smile and compassionate heart; because without intellect and drive this female wouldn't be able to change the game.
