Rigael Damar Soul/ RnB singer songwriter and artist, was born in San Francisco California november 26 1980. He is the oldest of two sons to musician parents.

Mostly raised in Seattle,Washington as a child of the age of 9 he played the clarinet, flute, drums and piano. He spent most of his ealy years playing sports. basketball, track and field and american football. He would later earn a full scholarship to play football at Eastern Washington University.
As The son of a preacher, his roots are in the ’Black’ church, where the foundations of his musik experience were laid.

Rigael Damar has a long history of song and entertainment. Performing in many settings through out childhood from the local corner churches to entertaining thousands at SafeCo Field, home to the Seattle Mariners. At the age of 22 Rigael is founder of The Spoken Word Cafe in Chicago, music director and band leader of ’River City’ perfoming weekly at Congress Theater - one of the largest auditorium in Chicago.

In august 2005 he moves to Sweden and Studies at Kulturama Musikskola. 2007 he begins recording material that would be later introduced to ’The Band’ in the fall of 2007. Rigael Damar and ’The Band’ are a constellation of some of Swedens most exciting and promising musicians and have played with swedens most exciting up and comers.

September 11th 2008 Rigael Damar appeared on Swedens National radio program P3 lab where Radio host Pelle Moeld compared Rigael Damar to the likes of D’angelo, John Legend, Maxwell, and Mos Def. And in the month of oktober 2008 He was named artist of the month and his song ’Highway’ was placed on rotation on several of the programs on Sweden’s national radio channel P3.
Rigael Damar was praised by MTV Host EYE N I (Henrik Blomqvist) ’A soul artist of rank’ and featured on MTV Off Beat in February 2008.
Rigael Damar was also a featured guest on SR metropol in february 2008. Radio host
Paulo Bruno calls Rigael Damar ’the next big thing’.
