Its in Rhythm Nation, and I think It will help you explore some different possiblities. I used fruity loops for a long time, back when it wasn't very popular i might ad. like 8th grade, lol. Nobody was messing with it but you can do a lot. In order to make the sounds compete though you might wanna give it a read.
