The journey of legends begins with the belief that the journey will be successful. It takes like minds seeing vision in-order to turn it into reality. The birth of two musical genius's would bring about a change the music industry has been waiting for. Their paths would cross years later, allowing them to join talents and collaborate for years to come. Through a mutual acquaintance, an unexpected collaboration was born. Navada Taylor and Tobari Fingal joined forces to construct the birth of Equinox Professionals. These two musical talents are ahead of their time, embracing the memories of music greats: James Brown, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Notorious BIG, Run DMC and countless others. Their musical range exceeds the norm, influencing their listeners to think outside the box by exploring all genres of music. The metamorphosis began in 1982 for Navada Taylor, AKA Lord Vada, with the release of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. At the age of 5, Navada composed his first rap while serving as a member of a local break dancing crew. By the age of ten, Navada saved enough money to record his first demo. The creative juices kept coming enabling Lord Vada to gain street recognition in his community. Lord Vada's eclectic rhythms and undeniable ability to mesmerize his audience will have them grooving for years to come. “Where do I see myself in ten years?” I see myself producing for the next Michael Jackson, 2 Pac, Notorious BIG, Jay- Z, MJB or Usher!” “My ultimate goal is to start a multimedia company that will clean up our image as African Americans in the music industry while enlightening future generations about the positive influences Hip-Hop/ Soul started with.” “Planning a legacy of greatness takes time, patience and perseverance: I’ll volunteer to provide the blueprint.” The destiny of Tobari Fingal was realized at an early age. There was no denying that he would one day grow to touch lives with his quiet storm. Tobari began singing at the tender age of six and since then he has never looked back. Tobari also known as Musicmaker started singing at local D.C., Maryland and Virginia churches. With the encouragement and guidance from his parents, Tobari sought an education in music that would place him a cut above the rest. After receiving formal education, Tobari began his work on many projects. Tobari’s most recent project, "Copasetic" stands as just a testament to his amazing talent, new and fresh musical ideas and sound that is simply ahead of its time! Tobari is an artist with a timeless sound and an endless supply of lyrics and music that will push the industry into the future and beyond! Lord Vada and Tobari constantly find ways to make themselves known to industry pioneers by attending events/ conferences hosted throughout the United States. Most recently, they traveled to the "One Stop Shop" conference hosted by Money Management and iStandard in Phoenix, Arizona as well as the A3C showcase in ATL. Their persistence, motivation and energy enable artists and producers alike, to remember the name: Equinox Professionals. The preservation of great music from the past, present and future will continue to touch the masses thanks to the birth of Equinox. Tobari and Lord Vada's talents combined will take the world by storm by way of what they have to offer individually and collectively. Tobari's Classical/ Rhythm & Blues approach to music combined with Lord Vada's Hip Hop approach will have listeners craving for more.
