What are your goals as artists?

are you wanting to start a group? put out a CD? promote your current CD already recorded?

To redefine the art form as well as blend art and activism. Perhaps spark a localized movement similar to the Harlem Renaissance.

I wanna get signed and sell lots of records. That'll allow me to go on tour and have my music reach a lotta people. It ain't bout the money to me, but it'd be nice to make a lotta it.

My goal is to get a major Label remix or production deal.
Also, try to get into the television side of music... i.e. commericals, shows, ect.

Your vision may be to change the music industry. But GOALS are specific, time based.

And once you set your goal, you need a plan on how to get there. So what are your plans for achieving your goals?

My goals as a Creative, Innovative artist is to become a Successful Entrepreneur in the Music Business. My career won't just end with Music. Most Artists careers are short lived. So that is why it is crucial in having a plan to work and hustle the industry. My current goal is to have a complete quality project by the end of the 1st quarter (3/31/2009). I had to restart my entire project because the production on my first 5-6 songs were awful!!!!! So this is why my goal is set 6 months in the future.

My immediate goals are to finish recording all of the songs for my album. I have 5 songs that I am definitely using for the album. I am also going to start performing by the end of the year a single that is an Undeniable HIT. So I am working on that joint right now as I type...(not literally, but you get what I am trying to say...)

My future goals are to complete at least 4 albums. I know I got 4 albums worth of great songs in me...I want to get into acting and movies by the end of my music career; Complete volumes of my book Corporate Chics; Start different chapters of the non-profit organization that I help Co-found ~ SSE; and Work my travel business ~ Global Journeys (and travel, for leisure and not work) part-time.

Those are my goals.....and each have already been accomplished. I am just working on everything coming into full circle....

I desire to spread the God's word through the testimonies of my life and those of my group. I believe that is my purpose in life and i really do enjoy singing, producing, and writing songs. Music is truely a passion of ours. Our goal is to become widely known gospel music artists. Currently we are recording our cd and working on the promotions at the same time. I believe in multitasking to get the jobs done lol

In a way, it could take me a full book to write out exactly my specfic goals and dreams are. But to make it short:

My goal, is to get signed to a record company, and I would probably be singing gospel/soul, the album would not be the type that is completely obligated to one type of music, because there would be love songs, Gospel/uplifting, all sorts. And with my music, I would want to spread the word of God, and touch people... So while getting signed, I would either be 'the' writer, or the writer/co-writer of the songs. And I would want to put out a CD. That is my dream and goal.

so are you all's plans to go indie until you get noticed by a record label? does it matter what type of record label? does it matter what type of deal you're offered (not talking a good v. bad deal because I'm sure you want a good one).

Indie record deals are usually the bad one's aren't they? If there is a major artist on the label, there isn't any room for growth for the other artist....(i.e Grand Hustle; DTP; Slip N Slide). I would prefer to try and get a major deal. I would only sign an Indie deal if there is not a major artist already on the roster.
