Free VSTs

Not everyone can afford state of the art vsts like UAD-PlugIns, Waves and stuff like that, neither do I. But to make good music you don`t necessarily have to work with'em, because YOU make the music and not the plug-ins ^^
Secondly there are plenty of free vsts which do their jobs pretty well and that's the reason why I started this thread: if you got some nice tipps on vsts (effects, dynamics, synth,...) just post the link(s).
