Hey Ladies and Gents, this is 'Bod the Jiga, of course. If you're in this group, you're here to get your critique on. Being a critic maself, here are some areas for you to think about when analyzing posted music:

1. Lyrics - How well are the words put together? Does the message come across clearly? What is the songwriter's intent? Was the song written by the singer or by another party?

2. Beat - How well are the instruments put together? Does the instrumental agree with the objective of the song? Would you have used the same instruments? Does any element sound familiar or remind you of another song?

3. Engineering - What is the quality of the sound? Does it sound modern? Vintage? If it sounds flawed, is the flaw deliberate, or the result of bad studio work?

4. Track Record - If this artist has other music, how does this song compare to the past work? Has the artist gotten better or worse over time? Does the artist seem to have a formula, or is his/her work sporadic? How about the producer?

5. Overall - Do you like or dislike the track? How does the track affect you emotionally? Is this a masterpiece? A classic? ~~A piece of hot garbage on a hot tin platter covered in puss sauce?~~
