Why is there more talk about Chris Brown & Rihanna than who won a Grammy???

I mean dog, folks complain about the negative images that blacks get and yet every black station that I've listen to have mentioned it not once but over and over.

Did you hear Jay-Z's lyrics with Cold Play and how he talked about the price of success?

And what I don't understand is how some of those acts won over some of the R & B acts.

Thats because it is not about the music or talent anymore but more about how some of these folks act in their personal lives mainly how crazy and self centered some are. Really a shame

I am going to be brief about the Cris Brown thing. I know it's wrong for anyone to put their hands on another human being. While in LA i was hit in the face by a women and after the third strike all i did was block her punch. Trained in martial arts i knew i could have swiftly ended the whole thing but for what?

I blocked her final punch and did not return a blow and she claimed i beat her up and guess what? I ended up in jail. Fortunately by the grace of God the police nor the DA did not buy this womens story and i was set free after a few days.

Men don't fight your women, walk away you wont regret it. Now women if at all possible lets not dial 911 on our men. 99.9% of the Prison system is filled with BLACK MEN. Try to work it out without involving the law. THE SYSTEM IS NOT FOR US BUT AGAINST US IN EVERY WAY.

Men,,,,,,,,especially Black men, Keep your hands off the women, if it's that bad try to get out of it with your life. By all means. DON'T HIT HER. You will go to jail or maby prison, and she can hit you and about 75% of the time the police will do nothing. KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF.

Damn sad. Cuz the fact is, women's liberation will scream up and down all day, "We're equals!" My thing is, if we're equals, then women should get JUST as severe punishment for assaulting men: either let men mutually hit women or hold women mutually accountable in the same manner as men. No more of that courtroom favoritism and sympathy. No way you can get to hold on to double standards on the one side then keep talking about equality on the other side...

Welcome to Follywood. Hollywood and the national award shows don't interest me at all. It's all human worship and I'll never fall for that again. You know there are definately bad people of all races. I grew up in the 60's in San Francisco. Racism was big then. Is there anyone on this site who would side with me on the Blige/Clutch copyright infringement case on "Take Me As I Am"? The infringers aren't giving Afro-Americans a great example right now. These people are big , but they're also human just like Brown and Rihanna. I love Rihanna. I'll give her some human worship. I love her music and she is totally fabulous. I hope she heals soon. I've been through 3 major depressions so far. i've been raising 6 kids since 1981 and the pressure of finances got to me. I've been in remission since 2001, thank God.
