"Give us this day our daily bread" means that we're asking God to take control of our hands in what we do so that we can prosper in spite of the curse that Adam's fall brought upon us in Genesis. Do YOU see God's hand in any of these lyrics?! I mean, kudos for looking at it as faith, but just because God's name is tacked on to something doesn't necessarily mean it's ordained! You do know it is biblically possible for one to gain the whole world and still lose his soul, right? Faith is about trusting in God's promises, not making blind and foolish decisions! There's a verse in the bible that says, "Thou should not TEMPT the Lord thy God", meaning, you don't make irresponsible decisions and bank on God pulling you out of them!

And for the record, I'm not saying it's wrong to have nice things at all. What I'm saying is, let's not confuse obvious materialism with faith. If it was faith, he'd probably be placing his money somewhere that money is NEEDED--- like cancer research or poor Black inner city communities--- not in lavish depreciating items for himself.

I hear what you're saying: I am one of the few that never really trips off Souljah Boy. I expect him to be the kid that he is. You will see that most of the times I defend him and tell everybody else to stop HATING! (I said that for Qdaiman and the rest of his Jump-on-Souljah-Boy posse. I'm just messing with y'all. :-9)

My thing isn't even that he's young or that it's Souljah Boy. (Mind you: Mike Phelps is now using the I'm young and dumb excuse for why he was caught smoking weed recently)... So I knew that excuse was coming...

But I could have easily put up pics of others... I just used him as an example of artists getting money and sometimes the first thing they do is buy jewelry, a car, some rims or buy a big old house.

WHY NOT FLOSS A BUSINESS??? A STOCK PORTFOLIO? SOME REAL ESTATE? SOME CHECKS MADE OUT TO CHARITY? HOME PAID OFF?

And I'm saying why not learn from past mistakes???? Isn't the present economy enough to say I need to save every penny.

You mentioned biblical principles: the bible tells us to mimic the ant who saves up when there is plenty to be prepared when there is not.

Well Bow supposedly showed his paperwork aferwards because so many people said he was renting.
It was funny for a second...then really it just looked like two brats fighting over which kid has the better toy......SB should wait before spending money on expensive things like that. Bow's got money to throw away if he really wants because he's been in the game for so long but SB can easily end up doing a Gold for Cash commercal with Hammer in a years time.
