Hi Blazebeats, thanks for posting and introducing yourself! Let me ask you a couple of questions since this is about us all getting to know one another.

How long have you been writing? singing? producing?
What's the music scene like in Connecticut?
How did someone from Conneticut hook up with Donny Klang and Richboy? (:-)
Also what type of music do you produce? what genre, is what I'm asking?

I'm a lawyer so I ask questions so let me ask you for others who may come through that are Djs:

what made you get a manager? Would you recommend getting a manager? How did you find one? What made you chose that manager?

And in terms of creating a profitable market, have you been able to bring hip hop artists to the club where you Dj? Is that one strategy you've tried?

Hi
I'm Nobie Jones. I produce, songwrite (even though I can't sing) and I'm a poet. Currently I'm in the process of getting my own music equipment for my home studio. In the Fall of 2009 I will be attending college as a music major.

Nice: I was a music major at first but changed my major a couple of times. What school are you going to? You said you produce, what equipment do you use? What are you looking to buy?

I'm going to Princeton. I'm looking to buy Protools and new computer. Trying to save more money so my project studio will be complete by October.

Princeton, wow, that's impressive. You indicated that you are a music major, what are you planning to do with your degree? In terms of the studio, pick people's brains and search the Net to make sure you buy only the things you need. I bought some items that I neither needed or used and could have just save myself some money.
